Abstract

The internationalization processes of higher education centers in this part of the continent have had a stage of almost slow growth, but in the present decade the associations in the formation or strengthening of networks have multiplied. The use of new technologies was the instrument to overcome the lack of presence in the classrooms on the part of teachers and students due to the health pandemic, to first guarantee the virtual dictation of subjects, train teachers and students to adapt quickly to the use of platforms and virtual classrooms, to later work on reactivation via virtualized networks and programs. The university networks in Latin America began to be used intensively by appealing to platforms and virtual classrooms, in order to reestablish the calls for student and teacher mobility programs, as well as incorporate the mechanisms so that the chosen students and teachers can mobilize virtually. The internationalization process requires a committed and concerted work between states, universities and the different networks, which can and should improve, for this the digitization and innovation of communication channels and systems can be a means of real and fast integration.
